Notice of Public Hearing Regarding Community Development Projects for Elmore County, Alabama

The Elmore County Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church, 961 Crenshaw Road, Wetumpka, Alabama 36092.  All citizens are urged to attend and express their views regarding the community’s most pressing community development needs.

The purpose of this hearing will be to discuss the submission of an application for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to primarily benefit low and moderate income persons in Elmore County.   Information to be presented includes the amount of grant funds available, the range of eligible activities that may be undertaken and a discussion of the proposed project for which the County intends to submit an application to the State of Alabama requesting CDBG funds.
