County Administrator, Grace A. McDuffie CPA, MBA
County Administrator, Grace A. McDuffie, holds a B.S. in Accounting from Auburn University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), with a concentration in Accounting, from Troy University. Mrs. McDuffie has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2002.
Previously Mrs. McDuffie was employed by the State of Alabama Examiners of Public Accounts for 19 years and was promoted to Senior Examiner. While working with the Examiners, she audited the financial information of numerous county level governmental agencies including Commissions, Boards of Education, Sheriff Offices, Probate and Tag Offices as well as Planning and Development Agencies.
In addition to working as an examiner, Grace later transferred to the Alabama Department of Revenue (ADOR) in 2004. While at ADOR, she worked as a liaison between the Accounting Department and the Consulting IT Company to develop a new tax revenue accounting system for the State. Mrs. McDuffie left her position as Assistant Director of the Financial Operations Division to work for the Elmore County Commission.
Mrs. McDuffie has been employed as the Elmore County Administrator since January 2014. As County Administrator, Grace manages a $28M budget, maintains current financial information, coordinates external audits, directly supervises five employees and works closely with the County Commissioners.
Mrs. Grace McDuffie (formerly Grace Adkison of Slocumb, Alabama) is married to Terry McDuffie and lives in the Redland Road area of Wetumpka where they have resided for nearly 25 years. Together they have two children, Anna and Caleb.
