In October 2006, because of recommendations from citizens, civic groups and business leaders, the Elmore County Commission established the Elmore County Public Information Office. The goal of this office is to provide proactive open and honest communication with Elmore County residents and the media.

In addition to routine advertising of Public Hearings and Legal Notices and issuing timely news releases, the Public Information Office is responsible for The County Line (a weekly newspaper article) and the Elmore County web page.

The weekly County Line articles are designed to inform citizens regarding Commission and other county government activities. The article is published in the Eclectic Observer, Tallassee Tribune and The Wetumpka Herald.

Lynda Feaga is the Public Information Officer/Deputy Administrator for Elmore County. Ms. Feaga has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa and several years experience in Personnel,Office Management and Public Relations. She has been employed by Elmore County for eight years.
