Tim Barrett is the Chief Information Officer for the Elmore County Commission. A lifelong resident of Wetumpka and graduate of Wetumpka High School, Tim has dedicated his career to advancing technology in public service.

He joined Elmore County in 2021 as the I.T. Director for the Sheriff’s Office, following years of experience in K-12 and post-secondary education technology. His strong performance in that role led to his appointment as CIO, where he now oversees county-wide IT operations and strategy.
